Bare the Fox is a multimedia platform for members of the Uganda public to report corruption as they witness it, and for professional journalists to get tips on corruption follow up stories for their own media houses.
Whether someone is asked for a bribe, asked to pay for what should be free, witnesses exchange of bribes or embezzlement, or shoddy work from government contracts (e.g. roads, schools, hospital or water works), Bare the fox is enabling anyone to report by sms, email and or online post from wherever they are.
Everyone is encouraged to collect as much details as they can of corruption related incidences and report them for free or for a reward for exceptional and or consistent reports that we shall be offering on monthly basis.
A team of two journalists will be moderating and editing the reports and undertake necessary verification or disclaimers in difficult circumstances, in addition to producing routine feature stories on the key reports and trends that need attention and forwarding to necessary authorities or stakeholders.
